Diffusion imaging shows abnormalities after blunt head trauma when conventional magnetic resonance imaging is normal.
The investigation and management of patients after head injury must include the accurate and complete identification of cerebral damage. Using diffusion tensor imaging, abnormalities of diffusion in patients with head injuries and unremarkable MRI have been shown for the first time.
متن کاملDNA Damages on Blood Cells After Cardiac Magnetic Resonance Imaging
Introduction: Along with the increased use of cardiac imaging at clinics there is increased attention to the potential risks related to the methods used like magnetic resonance (MR) and it cannot be ruled out that MR can alter DNA structure. The aim of this review is to assess the impact of routine cardiac magnetic resonance (CMR) scanning on DNA damages in human T lymphocytes....
متن کاملNon-uniformity of Clinical Head, Head and Neck, and Body Coils in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
Introduction Signal intensity uniformity in a magnetic resonance (MR) image indicates how well the MR imaging (MRI) system represents an object. One of the major sources of image non-uniformity in high-field MRI scanners is inhomogeneity of radio-frequency coil. The aim of this study was to investigate non-uniformity in head, head and neck, and body coils and compare the obtained results to det...

ernous. A purely epidural hemangioma is a rare lesion, representing only 4% of epidural lesions, and the cavernous subtype is the most commonly found in this region. The lesion is located in the posterior region of the spine in up to 93% of cases and the dorsal spine is affected in 80% of cases. Epidural cavernous hemangioma is most commonly found in men (at a 2:1 ratio) aged over 40. Vertebral...
